Teesa is an education technology business that collaborates with Africans in a range of skill areas to develop and conduct skill-building initiatives in a vibrant online marketplace. Our goal is to close the talent gap by offering easily available, excellent training that equips young people in Africa to prosper in a world economy that is becoming more and more competitive.

The New York Times article Old World, Young Africa from 2023 emphasises the revolutionary change Africa is going through, which is consistent with this idea. The article calls Africa’s demographic transformation a “Youthquake.” Africa will account for one in four of the world’s population by 2050. Africans now comprise a quarter of humanity, compared to just 8% of the world’s population in 1950. This is nearly a century later. Uganda ranks as one of the world’s youngest countries, according to the May 2024 census. An incredible 50.5% of our population is under the age of seven, with 22.7% falling between the ages of 18 and 30.

Youth around the world are changemakers and trendsetters, and Africa’s young people are at the vanguard of redefining the continent’s story. Africa, formerly known as the “dark continent,” is today a thriving centre of invention and creativity, with music, films, and fashion enthralling audiences around the world. African businesses are reinventing commerce, not only on the continent but also on a global scale.

As Africa’s role on the global stage is reinvented, Teesa Advisory is ready to empower Uganda’s young and next-generation workforce, preparing them to be a powerful force in the global marketplace.
